“I grew up wanting to play for Hull City”- Striker delighted with Tigers contract

Keane Lewis-Potter has signed a new three-and-half-year contract with Hull City.

The highly-rated young forward has agreed new terms with the Tigers today on his 18th birthday, as confirmed by their official club website.

Lewis-Potter has been prolific for Hull’s youth sides and is being tipped to break into the first-team over the next couple of seasons.

He made his senior debut for Nigel Adkins’ side in their FA Cup third round defeat to fellow Championship side Millwall at The Den in January.

After signing a new contract today, Lewis-Potter has told Hull’s website: “To have the club show so much belief in me by handing me a three-and-a-half year deal is a great feeling. I was lucky enough to be given my Scholarship contract early and then my first professional contract early as well.”

To now be handed another contract is a little bit surreal but I’m delighted to have signed because this is where I want to be. It means so much to sign another deal with my hometown club. I grew up wanting to play for Hull City and to achieve that at the age of 17 earlier this season against Millwall was unbelievable.”

It was an experience that left me wanting more, but I know it’s just a start and I said exactly the same after signing my first professional deal last year.”

He added: “This is just the start and getting this new contract gives me even more motivation to kick on, develop and work even harder to improve in all areas of my game.”
