Max Clark has turned down a new contract offer from Hull City, according to BBC Humberside Sport.
The 22-year-old left-back is out of contract at the KCOM Stadium in the summer and could leave them on a free transfer.
Clark has been linked with a move to Championship duo Nottingham Forest and Millwall over recent days. He has also been linked with a move to Dutch Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem, who are managed by ex-Hull City boss Leonid Slutsky.
The promising defender has broken into Hull’s first-team this season and has impressed for the Tigers. He made his debut for his home-town club on the opening day of the season away to Aston Villa and has been a regular in their starting eleven in this campaign.
Clark rose up through the youth ranks at Hull City and has gained first-team experience over the past couple of seasons during multiple loan spells at League Two side Cambridge United, before breaking into the Tigers’ senior squad this season.
Hull may be resigned to losing Clark on a free transfer now though which will be a big blow to the Championship side. It is a similar situation to what they found themselves in last summer when academy graduate Josh Tymon turned down a contract offer to join Stoke City.
For Nottingham Forest, Millwall and Vitesse, the news that Max Clark has turned down a new deal will have them all on red alert.
